we ve lost about 8 1/2 million jobs since the recession began in december of 2007. construction, we ve lost about two million jobs in construction and just over two million jobs in manufacturing. there you can see some the big dropoff after that. obviously finance and insurance, that makes sense as well. we ve had the bubble burst on wall street. information jobs lost, that s a little bit of a surprise right there. you can see the discrepancy between the great number of jobs in manufacturing and construction and in some of the other industries moving forward. all right. now, has there been any place where jobs have grown? medical. i mean, that makes sense. we ve always had the need and the demand for nurses, for medical technicians, but according to the bureau of labor statistics, between 2008 and 2018, this is where we re going to see the most growth moving forward. home health aides, any type of nursing, medical assistants. they put together a list of the 30 areas where we see
more trouble for toyota. the company announcing it will recall more than 1 1/2 million vehicles worldwide because the oil hose that is could leak. this on top of the 8 1/2 million they recalled. maybe it would be easier tell you what cars haven t been recalled. the feds say 52 people died because of the problems since the year 2000. toyota is far from the only automaker recalling vehicles. general motors announced a recall of its own. it needs to fix 1.3 million chevies and pontiacs because the power steering. they get difficult to steer at speeds less than 15 miles an hour but they re still safe to drive. jonathan hunt is live with more.
