self-certification process, whereby boeing essentially was responsible for certifying this aircraft and then presenting this information to the faa, to decide whether or not it was ready to get the certificate, to be able to sell this aircraft, whether there was anything wrong in that process. i think members of congress are now asking questions about that process. and i think you re going to see a broadening of that investigation, whether or not this is a process that the faa should be using at all. all right. evan, thank you very much. and you know, just was checking here, some gdp numbers. because the boeing news that evan s reporting on could have major economic consequences. and moments ago, i asked the chief economic adviser for president trump, kevin hassett, about this, right? what would this do for the growth for the entire united states. boeing is the largest exporter in this country and it would matter. here he is. we have certainly lots of data on aircraft production an
4/10 of a percent inside that range that if it holds would trigger the automatic recount. check out where the governor s race stands right now. 6/10 of a percent, and you heard from kerry there, there are still some votes to be counted. the provisional ballots tend to be much more democratic than republican. the military overseas ballot, tend to be fewer of those but they tend to be more republican. those are two factors. there also may be and we re trying to track this down. it s possible there are a few other votes out at precincts around the state, a small number, not enough to vault to the lead or anything like that, but when you re at 6/10 of a percent and 5/10 is the trigger, keep an eye as the votes come in. maybe put it that way to start with. the senate race is clearly within that range right now. as kerry said, the idea that a recount is going to actually reverse a 30,000 vote difference statewide that s a different
cathy mcmorris rodgers got barely ahead of her democratic opponent, 4/10 point at this point and the fourth ranking republican in congress. very little, look at results of last night and say republicans had a very good night. they squeaked out something of a victory in ohio, you could call it a victory but it s a very pureic one. historic night for candidates and the numbers are only going to go higher. laura kelley, nomination for governor. in michigan, former democratic leader of the state senate gretchen witmer handedly won her party s gubernatorial nomination, women, now the major party nominees for governor in 11 states breaking the record of 10 set in 1994, and that number is almost certain to grow with the remaining primaries. and at least 20 more women nominated for the u.s. house last night, that total is now at 182. a record number of major party
economy. here is senator john tester of montana. can you tell me what that word is? you have better eyes than me, this is unbelievable. in the end, the republicans were able to push it through, giving a huge victory. the g.o.p. went from 35 to 20% corporate tax rate and 10% cut for individuals. and add more a trillion to the deficit, but republican leaders say that doesn t take into account the massive growth the bill would unleash. the 1.5 trillion dollar deficit only to be filled, only requires us to grow 4/10 of 1% over the next ten years. goodness, gracious, that s very much achievable. i m totally convinced this is a revenue neutral bill. actually revenue producer bill that s going to get america moving again.
