The Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk held formal talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, during which the entire gamut of subjects from trade to security was on the table.
The Indian and Chinese armies were locked in a 73-day stand-off at the Doklam tri-junction after China tried to extend a road in the area that Bhutan claimed belonged to it.
The new Chinese law has provisions to reorganise districts in the border areas, and also refers to the principles governing water resources of cross-border rivers.
