After a witness claimed that he had been forced to name BJP and RSS workers in the Malegaon blast case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the Congress of harbouring terrorists and framing Hindu leaders in false cases. BJP leader Pragya Thakur is an accused in the case.
Out on bail, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has been discharged by a court on charges under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the 2008 case, but is still facing trial under other criminal provisions, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
