we begin with new details we are learning about the fbi s search of mar-a-lago in florida. multiple people tell the new york times the government has recovered more than 300 documents with classified markings from trump since he left office. the people add that federal officials became alarmed at the national archives recovered over 150 classified documents from trump in january. the times reports trump was personally involved with the documents, going through the boxes himself in late 2021. nbc news has reached out to federal authorities and the trump team for comment. has not received a response as of this morning. this came hours after the former president filed a lawsuit challenging the search of his florida residence, requesting the appointment of an independent legal professional known as a special master to review the documents and for the justice department to stop its review. with us to start off this hour, nbc news justice and intelligence correspondent enter, ken
