Alfiler) MANILA - Nearly 490,000 applications for registration of regular and youth voters have been received by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) since the resumption of sign-up on July 4. Acting Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudingco reported on Saturday that as of July 8, they have received 487,628 applications, based on the Nationwide Consolidated Daily Report released by Divina Blas-Perez of the Election and Barangay Affairs Department (ECAD). The registrants include 302,040 aged 15 to 17 years old; 157,925 aged 18 to 30; and 27,663 aged 31 years old and above.
