New Delhi [India], September 21 (ANI/Flag Foundation of India): Flag Foundation of India (FFoI) is remembering the historic day of September 22, 1995, as a milestone day in the struggle to democratize the Indian Tricolour, our beloved Tiranga. On this day in 1995, present FFoI President, Naveen Jindal filed a writ petition in Delhi High Court seeking to amend the Flag code of India. At that time, common citizens were barred from displaying the national flag as per the Flag Code of India. Only government offices and vehicles of the top government officials and dignitaries were allowed to display the National Flag. In 1993, Naveen Jindal was stopped by one of the officials in Chattisgarh from displaying the National Flag inside the Jindal Steel complex, in Raigarh. The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose by 1.58 percent, or 104.37 points, to 6,692.65 points. All Shares followed after it rose by 1.44 percent, or 50.49 points, to 3,548.53 points. Most of the sectoral indices also gained during the day, led by Holding Firms after it inched up by 2.99 percent. Industrial followed with a 1.72 percent jump, along with Services, 1.47 percent, and Property, 0.76 percent. On the other hand, Mining and Oil fell by 0.68 percent and Financials by 0.21 percent.
