(Photo courtesy of the Hillsboro High School Bowling Team Facebook) The Hillsboro Indians competed at the 2021 OHSAA Division II State Bowling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 27, reaching the final eight bracket and placing seventh overall in the state.
The day started with 16 teams, and in the first part of the event, the Indians bowled well enough to make the Final 8 championship round. This was the third time in program history that the Indians boys bowling team reached the championship round and the first time since 2017.

So much has changed for the Indians in a span of a year, as they like every other team in the state had to deal not only with the COVID-19 restrictions, but then there was also a lot of inclement weather in recent weeks, which changed the schedule of later matches.
