Coronavirus: The West Sussex sites giving out vaccines

THESE are the hospital hubs and GPs administering the coronavirus vaccines across West Sussex. There are six hospitals in the county that will be used in the nationwide vaccination programme, including Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. Alongside the hubs, there are also 19 GP led services in East Sussex administering the jab. The rollout comes almost a week after a major incident was declared in Sussex over fears the mutant strain could overwhelm services. People are asked not to contact their GP surgery so that their practice team can focus on arranging the vaccinations and provide day to day care for all of their registered patients.

Samworth Brothers extends stake in Higgidy

Ginsters’ owner Samworth Brothers has increased its stake in Higgidy to aid further development. The deal, which names the food manufacturer as majority shareholder, reinforces the shared vision and values of the two businesses, Higgidy said. Higgidy has given the firm the option to increase its stake at a future date, it added. “Over the past 17 years the Higgidy team have created a much-loved and successful premium consumer brand,” said Flor Healy, chief executive of Samworth Brothers. “The brand fits well with our own strategic priorities in terms of owning distinctive brands, strength in savoury pastry and food-to-go and the further development of our plant-based business. Samworth Brothers is delighted to be part of the next chapter in Higgidy’s development,” Healy added.
