[ Some members of the committee raised concerns. “We don’t want to close the schools so that an election day can go on in the facility. So we would be willing to provide the separation if we knew which schools,” Todd Armstrong the Assistant Superintendent of Warrick County Schools said. And more concerns were raised over changing a system, too fast, that voters are used to using.

(WFIE) - The EVSC is set to receive over $24 million as part of Indiana’s CARES 2.0 funding. The State Department of Education has announced school districts across the state will share in over $881 million. Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner says the funds will help schools focus on areas of education most impacted by the pandemic this far. Elsewhere in the Tri-State, Warrick County schools will receive $2.6 million, and North Gibson Schools will receive $1.2 million.

(WFIE) - Officials with Henderson County Schools announced they were dismissing early Wednesday due to the winter weather advisory. School officials say they dismissed any small groups in schools, as well as the Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center at noon. Officials tell 14 News their grab-and-go meal pick-up time was adjusted to 11-12:30 p.m. All HCS Childcare Centers closed at 1 p.m.

(WFIE) - Officials with Warrick County Schools say they were dismissing two hours early due to the winter weather advisory on Wednesday. School officials say they began dismissing students at 12:45 p.m. As parents lined up at Castle Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon, some told 14 News they are fine with the unexpected schedule change if it means their little ones are safe. “I’m just thankful they’re being cautious,” parent Melanie Petzold said. “I would much rather them be cautious than maybe try to let them go into school, then God forbid something happens.”
