Owners of JAX LNG LLC say the company will triple liquefaction and double liquid storage capacity by 2022 at the liquid natural gas facility along the St. Johns River. Richmond, Virginia-based Pivotal LNG Inc. announced the expansion in a May 6 news release that states liquid natural gas storage at the North Jacksonville site will increase from 2 million to 4 million gallons and liquefaction at the site will rise to 360,000 gallons per day. The JAX LNG expansion will support a long-term liquid natural gas supply agreement with “a major maritime company for its dual-fueled ships,” the release says.

08:41 AM EST Share The Cincinnati-based food retailer is hiring an HR leader for the project at 1 Imeson Park Blvd. Midwest grocery company Kroger is building-out a logistics operation in North Jacksonville to deliver fresh groceries. Kroger Fulfillment Network LLC, part of Cincinnati-based The Kroger Co., is the tenant for a 62,208-square-foot space at 1 Imeson Park Blvd., No. 200. The project is described as a cross-dock for mercantile goods, which means goods are brought in and quickly shipped out to their destination. The city issued a permit May 11 for Caddell Construction Co. LLC of Jacksonville to build-out the space at a cost of $205,000.

ArdentX LLC, a Jacksonville-based transportation and logistics company, intends to relocate its headquarters and launch a warehouse at Freebird Commerce Center in North Jacksonville. The move more than triples ArdentX’s office space, launches its warehousing venture and will double the capacity for employees and truck owner-operators. “I’ve been doing this 40 years,” founder and CEO Chuck Miller said April 26. “We are just really good at what we do. We over-communicate and our service is unbelievable.” Miller says the freight-brokerage company always is available, and staff works on weekends. He expects $120 million in sales this year, up from $70 million last year and $50 million in 2019.
