Lifeline Fiji received a grant of $5000 from the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation under its Sustainable Funding Program.
Vodafone ATH executive officer Ambalika Devi said the grant would help the organisation support its crisis interventions and counsellors who assisted them.
“It’s not all about the dollars as today’s (yesterday) grant signing is only a small amount which is $5k for technology rollout, what we want to see is that the changes are brought to reality in the lives of people on the ground,” she said.
“We are all responsible for our own growth, our own development, our own understanding, our own knowledge and competence but at the end of the day, we all need each other and Lifeline Fiji is there to hear.”

Police are urging parents to monitor their children’s use of social media after a teenager from Sigatoka allegedly attempted suicide after being subjected to online bullying.
Fiji Police Force spokeswoman Ana Naisoro called on parents and guardians to be more vigilant.
“We urge parents and guardians to monitor their children’s use of social media and also to continuously talk to them about the pros and cons of social media,” she said.
Ms Naisoro confirmed the 17-year-old was not happy over comments made about a TikTok video she posted over the weekend.
