The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced an additional death from COVID-19 at Regina’s Parkside Extendicare.
There are now 21 residents who tested positive for the virus and have passed away as of December 17. The SHA said the information was provided as of 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Parkside currently has 69 positive cases among their residents and 82 positive cases among staff.

Two employees who have worked inside Regina s Parkside Extendicare home say staff weren t properly cohorted in the building and that the movement of residents likely contributed to the virus s spread. Shelley Dawn's mother Beth Elaine Sutherby is one of the 14 residents who have died in the large COVID-19 outbreak at Regina's Parkside Extendicare home. Two more deaths were reported late Thursday.
