In order to further strengthen Covid-19 facilities, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Wednesday directed the Senior Doctors, Health Officials and CMOs to increase additional 1,050 oxygen beds in the Kashmir division to ensure immediate treatment for the people requiring hospitalization.

SRINAGAR, May 5: In order to further strengthen COVID-19 facilities, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today directed the senior doctors, Health officials and CMOs to increase additional 1050 oxygen beds in Kashmir division to ensure immediate treatment for the people requiring hospitalization.
He directed that increased bed capacity with oxygen should be ready within a week. It will substantially improve the health infrastructure and help out patients in the hour of crisis, he added.
Sinha was chairing a series of meetings with senior doctors and Chief Medical Officers of Kashmir Division here at Civil Secretariat, in which he reviewed the COVID-19 situation and containment measures put in place to effectively control the spread of Coronavirus.

JAMMU, May 4: In view of rising trend in COVID positive cases, the positivity rate and the cases per million, the Corona curfew in four districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam and Jammu, which is in force till 7 am on Thursday, May 6, 2021, has been extended till 7 am on Monday, May 10, 2021. In addition, Samba district will also be under Corona curfew from 7 pm on Wednesday till 7 am on Monday.
The Corona curfew at night will continue in all Municipal / Urban Local Body limits of all districts of the UT. Night curfew and other restrictions when curfew is not there will continue as before.

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a late-night statement detailed why the curfew is being extended in four districts till May 10. Here is the statement:
“In view of the trend in Covid positive cases, the positivity rate and the cases per million, the Corona Curfew in the four districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam and Jammu, which is in force till 7 am on Thursday, 6th May 2021, will stand extended till 7 am on Monday, 10th May 2021. In addition, Samba district will also be under Corona Curfew from 7 pm on Wednesday, 5th May 2021, till 7 am on Monday, 10th May 2021.
