Local Credit Union adds Sarah Hancotte, Jennifer Kimmell and Jeff Lee to leadership team
TEMPE, AZ (April 1, 2021)
TruWest Credit Union, is excited to announce the promotion of two employees, Sarah Hancotte and Jennifer Kimmell and the hiring of Jeff Lee. Hancotte was promoted to vice president of strategy, Kimmell was promoted to senior vice president and chief marketing officer and Lee has joined as vice president of lending.

Valley Metro workers receive Johnson & Johnson vaccine

PHOENIX Maricopa County Public Health began vaccinating Metro Phoenix transit workers with the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at Cesar Chavez High School on Friday.
“It means a lot to me, not only to protect myself but to protect my family and those passengers I serve, those around me. My co-workers as well,” said Dawn McGuire.
There are approximately 4,000 frontline transit workers who serve metro Phoenix communities. Locally owned and operated fast-casual pizza concept, Fired Pie, has launched a ghost kitchen operating out of two of its Fired Pie locations. The team has brought Chicago-based fast Asian street food concept, Wow Bao to the Valley and it is currently being offered only through third- party delivery services including Postmates, DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Wow Bao is also available for catering through EzCater’s website.

Fired Pie has plans to expand Wow Bao to operate out of four additional Fired Pie stores in the next 30 days and to 12 locations in the next three months.
Prepared in Fired Pie’s kitchen, Wow Bao’s menu fuses centuries of tradition with modern Asian food. The brand sources the highest-quality, sustainably-raised, non-GMO, antibiotic and steroid-free proteins. Using the energy of steam, the dishes provide a healthy alternative to most fast casual foods.
The second phase of the massive three-part floral is now on display at Desert Botanical Garden.
The installation, Wind, Water and Earth, is created by artists Natasha Lisitsa and Daniel Schultz of Waterlily Pond Studio. The floral exhibition is being installed in three parts. It began with “Wind” which went in Jan. 19. “Water” is being featured from Feb. 23 through March 22 and it ends with “Earth” from April 3-25.
“This is (Lisitsa) and (Schultz’s) first public garden installation, and I am confident Garden visitors will be as mesmerized with their creations as our team has been,” Desert Botanical Garden executive director Ken Schutz said in a press release.
