Officials with Center City of Amarillo and Wolflin Square recently announced the winners for the 2020 Deck the Herd decorating contest for the Hoof Prints of the Great American Quarter Horse.
Through this event, Center City invites the owners of the more than 100 Hoof Prints fiberglass horses at various businesses and organizations throughout the community to decorate the horse for the Christmas season.
According to a news release, the businesses and organizations shared photos of their decorated horses on Facebook and Center City encouraged individuals to vote for their favorite horse.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The COVID-19 restrictions continue to impact small businesses in the downtown area, making their lunch rush anything but rushed.
âLarge corporations have allowed the people who can do their jobs from home to work from home,â said Beth Duke, executive director of center city of Amarillo.
As offices like Excel and Maxor, continue to have more than 50 percent of their employees working remotely, small restaurants like Joe Taco are having to adapt to survive.

Freeman, the city s managing director of Planning and Development Services said with regard to the residential unit project. That was permitted on Oct. 7 and is currently under construction. Both floors have been framed out. The HVAC vendor is currently working on the mechanical. They anticipate being completed with mechanical and start sheet rocking the 11th floor by mid-January. Then they ll start mechanical on the 10th floor once that s wrapped up. They believe the 10th floor will take six to eight weeks to complete the mechanical before they start sheet rocking that phase.
