Dutch Ambassador visits Syunik, gets familiarized with works carried out by Women’s Recourse Centre
Ambassador of the Netherlands Nico Schermers, visited Monday Goris town, Syunik region, to be informed about opportunities and cultural and economic activities in the city, the Embassy reported in a statement.
During his visit to the Women’s Resource Centre he was told about the support of Dutch PUM Netherlands senior experts to the Centre as well as the cooperation that had arranged with the Dutch company Louet spinning wheels.
The main objective of the Women’s Recourse Centre is to promote economic and political empowerment of women in Armenia and other Eastern Partnership countries, through effective implementation of gender policy, women’s health protection, improvement of women’s social protection, gender-based violence prevention among other things.

Cuddles for Kids
Cuddles for Kids is kicking off their “Sock & Hygiene Drive” in Johnstown.
They’re asking community members to donate shampoo, toothpaste, socks, and other items for children and adults.
Drop off locations in the Johnstown area include: The Morning Grind Coffee House, Steel City Axe, Room 1101 Hair & Nail Salon, The Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Department, Ryan’s Artisan Goods, and Avail Business Systems.
These items will be distributed to the Johnstown Soup Kitchen and the Women’s Help Center to help those in need.
Conner Hagins, Founder & CEO of Cuddles for Kids, said this drive is especially needed for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
