Image Source: IANS News Bhubaneswar, Feb 19 : Pandemonium prevailed for the second day in the House of the Odisha Assembly as the members of opposition BJP and Congress created ruckus over the farmers issue on Friday. Following the uproar, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro adjourned the proceedings till 11.30 am and later till 4 pm. As soon as the House assembled for question hour, the opposition members created an uproar alleging that the farmers were sustaining heavy loss as their produce was lying at the mandis with the procurement agencies not lifting the paddy.

A meeting of the District Legal Service Authority’s committee was convened at the conference hall of Nayagarh District and Sessions Judge Monday. While the meeting was chaired by District and Sessions judge Rupashree Chowdhary, district Collector Poma Tudu, SP Siddharth Kataria, CDMO Shakti Prasad Mishra, government lawyer Bishnu Prasanna Mohapatra and DLSA committee secretary attended the meeting.

Of the total 120 students selected from across the North-East, 43 students with disability from Assam were felicitated during an event on 5 th Jan 2021 at the NEDFI Convention Centre, Guwahati. An induction session was also conducted for the scholars to orient them about the methodology of claiming and mode of scholarship disbursement. Mr. B. Kalyan Chakravorty, IAS, Mission Director-SSA was the chief guest of the event.
