Registration for the Third Annual Lemonade Day Coastal Alabama is now open to school children enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The nationwide education program based out of Houston, Texas, first came to the Coastal Alabama area back in 2018.
The 2021 event is scheduled to take place Saturday, May 15. Participants can attend various workshops on topics (such as recipe development and stand building) to help prepare them for the big day where they will be running their own stand at a designated location in the community. Not only are we actively engaging and educating our elementary students once again with a nationally proven entrepreneurial program, but through regional collaboration this experience has now been expanded to include children in Foley as well as Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation (SBCF) is preparing for its first-ever community yard sale. This community yard sale will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Baldwin Center for Business Development located at 19812 Underwood Road. All proceeds from the sale benefit the SBCF to assist with enrichment programs that directly impact the schools served by the foundation.
All yard sale items have been donated by the community partners of the South Baldwin Chamber and Foundation. You are sure to find anything from furniture and household items to clothing and more! You will also have the opportunity to purchase and enjoy Krispy Kreme’s famous original glazed donuts while shopping.

FOLEY - Foley High School student Jackeline Hurtado is the winner for the 2021 BBQ & Blues t-shirt design. Her design will be featured on the shirts sold at the festival this year. Members of the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation and Chamber volunteers presented Hurtado with her framed artwork, a gift card, and wristbands to attend the festival.
This year’s BBQ & Blues Cook-Off is taking place on Saturday, March 13 in Foley’s Heritage Park. Gates open at 11 a.m. when attendants can begin sampling delicious food prepared by a multitude of teams.
Festival goers will enjoy award-winning barbeque, blues bands, craft and retail vendors, and children’s activities. Over 20 backyard division cook teams from across the Gulf Coast will compete for the Grand Championship title and awards. The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s 77th Annual Gala saw a new location this year, taking place at and catered by Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope. The elegant gala held an Online Silent Auction during 2021, with proceeds going towards the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, which supports local schools.
