Omran Group sponsors Secret Seas to showcase Oman’s beautiful underwater treasures

Muscat: As part of the efforts to promote Oman’s untapped natural beauty, Omran Group, the executive arm of the Sultanate for tourism development, has signed a sponsorship agreement to support the publication of Secret Seas - the first-ever large-format photographic book to feature Oman s unique underwater world.
‘Secret Seas’ by Paul Flandinette, a professional underwater photographer and Michel Claereboudt, co-author and marine scientist is the culmination of seven years of inspiration in aqua adventures and boasts an extensive library of underwater images taken in the country’s most beautiful diving locations, including Khasab within Musandam governorate, the Daymaniyat Islands, Fahal Island, Bandar Khayran, Masirah Island, Mirbat, Salalah and the Hallaniyat Islands.

Two persons rescued from capsized boat, search underway for third

Muscat: Two people have been rescued and a search operation is underway for a third at the site of a boat accident off the Al Fahal island in Muscat. The boat, with three citizens onboard, capsized in the sea.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: Search and Rescue Coordination Center of the Royal Air Force of Oman, in coordination with the Coast Guard Police of the Royal Oman Police and the relevant authorities, conducted a search and rescue operation for a fishing boat with 3 citizen fishermen on board after their boat sank off Al Fahal Island in Muscat.
