MONTPELIER â Aware of disconcerting trends in other parts of the country, state officials donât see a need to bring back restrictions or modify their response to the COVID-19 pandemic right now.
âThereâs not a reason for us to take an alarmist stance and make any major changes,â Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine said Tuesday at the governorâs news conference.
Data appears to show stability, Levine said. Vermont reported 171 cases in total last week â compared to 90 the prior week, 54 the week before and somewhere in the 30s in each of the three preceding week â and 11 new cases on Monday.
