Updated data on the state’s 33 counties indicated that 29 counties now have COVID positivity rates of 10% or less. That information was released at the same time that a new executive order took effect to relax rules concerning travel-related quarantines for people entering or returning to the state.

2 COVID deaths, 50 cases in area - Roswell Daily Record

Copyright © 2021 Roswell Daily Record Two more women in Chaves County and another 34 people in New Mexico have died as a result of COVID-19 or with COVID complications, according to information released Saturday afternoon by the New Mexico Department of Health. The state has now recorded 2,910 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began. Both Chaves County decedents were in their 90s. One was a resident of Sunset Villa Care Center, and the other lived at Mission Arch Center. The other deaths included 10 in Bernalillo County; six in McKinley County; four in San Juan County; three each in Doña Ana, Rio Arriba and Santa Fe counties; two each in Eddy and Luna counties; and one in Valencia County.
