NEET-PG 2021 Latest News: The government has decided to utilise medical students as adequate human resources for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a high level Covid-19 review meeting today decided to allow deployment of medical interns in Covid management duties under the supervision of their faculty, as part of the internship rotation. The services of final year MBBS students can be utilised for providing services like tele-consultation and monitoring of mild Covid cases after due orientation by and under supervision of faculty, the government release mentioned. The following service of the MBBS students will reduce the workload on existing doctors engaged in Covid duty, it added.Â

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the date for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) this year. The examination for entrance to various undergraduate medical courses will be held on August 1 later this year. The NEET (UG), 2021, is going to be conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses as per the relevant norms, guidelines and regulations notified by the regulatory bodies concerned, announced NTA, which comes under Ministry of Education.

NEET 2021 Syllabus: An official announcement regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET) 2021 is awaited. Though NEET-UG 2021 date is yet to be announced, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on two previous occasions provided important information regarding the all-India Medical entrance exam. On January 18, during an interactive session with Kendriya Vidyalaya students, Mr Pokhriyal said that NEET 2021 will be held on the basis of the syllabus provided by the exam conducting bodies.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has stated that students will be asked questions based on the reduced syllabus for the upcoming board examinations in 2021. Nishank was interacting with the students and teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya in a live webinar. The Education Minister also explained that JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 will also be held on the basis of reduced syllabus.
