OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE Authority Communications “This album has been a labour of love that dates back twenty years.” – Louise Wener This January, Sleeper release their “lost” album, ‘This Time Tomorrow’. The band’s 5th full length studio album, and technically a prequel, the ten tracks were recorded between 1999 and 2000 in North London, and finished in Brighton during lockdown, 2020. ‘This Time Tomorrow’ includes songs Andy and Louise wrote together in their attic post-Sleeper split, and tracks demoed by guitarist Jon Stewart, who’d run away to live in LA by this time. Four of the songs are part of a solo album Louise had begun making that was never finished.

Sligo film focussing on the strawboy tradition for TG4

Local filmmakers will feature prominently in TG4 s landmark Christmas extravaganza - Sámhlú - on the 15th December, 9.30pm. Strandhill camera and lightingmen Peter Clyne and Niall Flynn have teamed up with director Johnny Gogan and dancer Edwina Guckian to produce a film which celebrates the strawboy (or mummer ) tradition in Sligo and Leitrim Their film will be part of a 90 minute film which features comedian and actor Tommy Tiernan playing the character of a wanderer arriving into a night time village to use his talent of tapping into the dreams of the citizens. The film is above all a tribute to the artistic spirit in the country, unbowed by the Covid emergency.
