PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) At least 200,000 people are still without power in the Portland area after a winter storm blanketed the Pacific Northwest with ice and snow and made travel treacherous.
One of the area s main utilities, PGE, warned Sunday that some people could experience multiple or prolonged outages as more wind and ice threaten to bring down tree limbs and power lines.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown praised utility workers and first responders but urged everyone else to remain at home as much as possible.

ASHTON Thousands of people in eastern Idaho are without power Wednesday morning, and as a result several schools are closed.
The following schools in eastern Idaho are closed or delayed Wednesday, Feb. 3:
CLOSED:
Lincoln Elementary in Rexburg
Lighthouse Montessori (2-hour delay)
Rocky Mountain Power reports 46 outages have left 7,482 people in the dark as of 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. The outages are spread from Firth to Rexburg with many of them reported before 6 a.m.
Fall River Electric and Idaho Falls Power are not reporting any outages.
