Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, June 27 : Dysfunction of glucose metabolism resulting in hyperglycaemia, a high blood sugar level, has been found in 14.4 per cent of patients who survived coronavirus, according to a global study published in the Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Journal. With India s total caseload rose to 3,02,33,183 and achieving the third highest vaccination number,after China and the US, the challenge for health authorities now is to counter the onset of diabetes in post-Covid patients. They say the fight against hyperglycaemia can be countered with ayurvedic formulations like CSIR-developed BGR-34.

Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, June 5 : The National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB) and the National Botanical Research Institute(CSIR-NBRI) have signed an MoU for extending joint collaborative efforts to boost the cultivation and production of medicinal plants and herbs in India. The MoU will facilitate development of Quality Planting Material (QPM) of medicinal plants and herbs identified by NMPB, help in establishment of their nurseries for QPM, development, promotion, conservation and cultivation of the appropriate medicinal plants in different agro-climatic zones, including the threatened medicinal plant species and plants for the high-altitude regions.
