2021 NFL Draft prospect profile: Gary Brightwell, RB, Arizona
What are the Giants getting in the running back out of Arizona?

The belief surrounding running backs and the NFL Draft is that runners are a “dime a dozen,” and that teams can find effective runners later in the draft.
The New York Giants had already added a running back in free agency, but circled back to the position in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. There they selected Gary Brightwell out of Arizona with 196th pick.
Brightwell was far from heavily used at the collegiate level, carrying the ball just 245 times in 26 career games at Arizona. He didn’t even get a single carry in his lone game as a true freshman. He flashes upside picking his way through traffic and finding yards after contact, but doesn’t have the flashy highlight reel plays put on tape like other runners.
2021 NFL Draft prospect profile: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
Could Parsons be the linebacker Giants’ fans have been waiting for?

Penn State once had a proud tradition of putting excellent linebackers into the NFL. That has fallen off of late, with Sean Lee and NaVorro Bowman being the last great linebackers from Penn State to make their mark in the NFL, drafted all the way back in 2010.
The 2021 NFL Draft could see that tradition restored as Micah Parsons enters the draft.
Parsons’ stock has been volatile over the course of the draft process, with him being reckoned a top-5 pick at times, and slipping to the bottom of the first round in others. Parsons was the top defensive player on just about everyone’s board coming into the 2020 season, but a decision to opt out opened the door for questions. Other players performing and some questions regarding his off-field character lead to the dips in his stock, but a phenomenal Pro Day workout
2021 NFL Draft prospect profile - Kyle Pitts, TE/WR, Florida
Could Pitts be the game changer at the NFL level that some think he will be?

Every draft class has players who capture the imagination of evaluators around the NFL and the media alike. Some of these players define their positional archetypes and project to be great as soon as they stop on an NFL field. Other times, however, the League is faced with players who defy convention and offer a skill set the NFL has only rarely seen before.
Florida tight end Kyle Pitts is one of those players. Tipping the scales as 6-foot-5 5/8 inches, and 245 pounds, he looks more like an industrial sized receiver than an undersized offensive tackle. And that defines his game as well. While the NFL has seen more and more “hybrid” tight ends who are receivers first, following in the footsteps of Dallas Clark, Tony Gonzalez or Jimmy Graham, they have only rarely seen a player like Pitts.
