Dimitris Koufodinas, dubbed the Poison Hand, returned to the Korydallos prison Saturday morning, 90 minutes ahead of his 12 noon deadline. Accompanied by his wife and son, he appeared relaxed and waved to the media. He said through his lawyer that he used the time outside of jail to reconnect with his family and work on plans for a beekeeping business, which he used as a front during his years as a hitman.

U.S. Ambassador to Athens Geoffrey Pyatt said the United States was ready to sell F-35 fighter jets to Greece, news website Protothema reported on Thursday.
Pyatt mentioned the fighter jets after responding to a question on Turkey’s actions in the eastern Mediterranean, saying Washington supported measures taken by Greece against what Greek officials have called “provocations”, during a talk with Greek journalists, according to Protothema.
“We are ready to sell F-35s whenever Greece is ready,” Pyatt said, adding that Washington was looking forward to cooperating when Athens “decides to make this investment”.

U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey Pyatt referred to the alliance between Athens and Washington in a discussion he had with journalists on the occasion of the U.S. military presence in Alexandroupolis and the developments in the Mediterranean.
Answering questions about Greek-Turkish relations, Pyatt noted that “we support the efforts of the Greek side and the moves by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in exploratory contacts.”
“Now the ball is in Ankara’s court to enter into a dialogue,” he said, referring to U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinkek’s remarks on Turkey following talks with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
