Adel, Ia (AP) A 37-year-old central Iowa man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his nephew. Mark Mash, of rural Adel, was charged Wednesday in the death of 20-year-old Jakob Mash of Perry. The younger Mash was found dead of a gunshot wound on Dec. 22 in a car at an intersection in Adel. Court records say Mark Mash fired a gun at a vehicle that his nephew was riding in. It was not clear if Mash was aiming at his nephew or what prompted the shooting. Mark Mash was taken into custody that day on other charges and remains in custody.

The uncle of a Dallas County man found shot to death in December now faces charges in the man s killing.
Mark Mash, 37, of rural Adel was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and control of a firearm by a domestic abuser, the Dallas County Sheriff s Office announced. He is accused of killing his nephew, 20-year-old Jakob Mash of Perry, who was found Dec. 22 at the intersection of K Avenue and 258th Street in Adel with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

(Dallas County, IA) The Dallas County Sheriff s Office has released the name of a man found shot to death this week as 20-year-old Jakob Mash of Perry.
The body was found early Tuesday morning, December 22nd, near the intersection of K Avenue and 258th Street, northwest of Adel.
The Sheriff s Office says there is no danger to the public. No other details are being released at this time.
