The uncle of a Dallas County man found shot to death in December now faces charges in the man s killing.
Mark Mash, 37, of rural Adel was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and control of a firearm by a domestic abuser, the Dallas County Sheriff s Office announced. He is accused of killing his nephew, 20-year-old Jakob Mash of Perry, who was found Dec. 22 at the intersection of K Avenue and 258th Street in Adel with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities investigate fatal shooting in central Iowa

ADEL, Iowa (AP) An investigation continues into the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man in a rural area near Des Moines.
The Des Moines Register reports that police on Wednesday identified the victim as Jakob Mash of Perry. He was fatally shot early Tuesday near the town of Adel. His body was found at an intersection.
Mash was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made, but Dallas County Chief Deputy Adam Infante said in a news released that there is not believed to be any danger to the public.
