The Editors Guild of India on Friday said the repeated disruptions of its webinar on reporting in Naxal areas by unknown persons was an attack on the freedom of speech and demanded police investigation.
The guild had organised a webinar via Zoom on challenges of reporting from Naxal areas as a part of its series “Unheard Voices: Reporting from Conflict Zones”, it said in a statement. The webinar was to start at 3 p.m. on Friday and speakers included journalists Malini Subramaniam, P.V. Kondal Rao, Milid Umare, Tameshwar Sinha, Faisal Anurag Purnima Tripathi.

Days after an unverified Twitter handle impersonating Naseeruddin Shah posted tweets regarding the farmers’ protests, veteran actor Ratna Pathak Shah confirmed that her husband, Naseeruddin Shah is not on Twitter.
The fake Twitter account which has garnered over 49 thousand followers, also posted a video interview of Naseeruddin Shah in which he was seen giving an interview to the human rights organisation Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) last month in the support of farmers.
Mumbai: Veteran actor Ratna Pathak Shah on Monday clarified that her husband, actor Naseeruddin Shah does not have a Twitter account, after an unverified profile in his name posted a series of tweets about the ongoing farmers agitation on the microblogging site.
Hyderabad: Cyber crime cell issues advisory to check QR code frauds

Hyderabad: A resident of Kukatpally uploaded photos of a 5-seater sofa set for sale on the OLX website for Rs. 23,500 and received a call from a person who said that he is interested in purchase the Sofa set and sent a QR code and asked to scan the QR code for the payment in advance.
On believing his words, the complainant scanned the QR code for Rs. 1 and got Rs. 2 to her bank account. As such, she scanned various codes multiple times and lost an amount of Rs. 99,500 has been deducted from her bank account.
