Search for USM Student Ended Tue, 05/04/2021 - 15:51pm The U.S. Coast Guard’s search for University of Southern Mississippi student Rob Brent has ended. Brent was last seen while swimming in the Gulf of Mexico at Alabama’s Dauphin Island on Sunday. “Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time,” said Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Sirena Cantrell. Student Counseling Services (SCS) is available to support members of the Southern Miss community, with group counseling on the following dates/times at the counseling center located in Bond Hall: Thursday, May 6, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
