With trial about 10 months away, the Hopkinsville man accused of being impaired when he ran over and killed a Todd County woman last year on Blue and Gray Park Road appeared for a hearing in Todd Circuit Court Wednesday.
Billy Jo Faughn is facing charges of murder, aggravated DUI and possession of marijuana. The defense in the case says they are waiting for some evidence to come back from testing and Judge Joe Hendricks set a pretrial conference for August 4.

After discussions of a possible resolution fell through, a trial date was set Wednesday in Todd Circuit Court for the man accused in a July crash that killed a woman on Blue and Gray Park Road.
Billy Jo Faughn of Hopkinsville appeared virtually before Judge Joe Hendricks Wednesday, who set a trial date for March 21 of 2022, saying that the Supreme Court of Kentucky COVID-19 restrictions and other scheduled trials are the reasons for that date.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Neil Kerr informed the court they are still waiting on evidence to come back from the testing lab and are still working to secure an expert that can examine the vehicle involved in the incident. Another pretrial hearing was set for May 5.

Discussions are underway for a possible resolution in the murder case against Billy Jo Faughn, who is accused in a July 29 crash that killed a woman on Blue and Gray Park Road in Todd County.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Neil Kerr informed the court they continue to hand over evidence to the defense, and they’re working on bringing on an expert that can examine the vehicle involved in the incident.
