Missouri State cruises into semis at Arch Madness
Third-seeded Missouri State advanced to the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament for the second year in a row with a 66-55 win over Valparaiso here Friday.
Isiaih Mosley scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Bears and set a club record for single-game scoring at Arch Madness. Mosley also snagged a career-high 12 rebounds.
“You know he’s a good player and he’s gotta be good for us to be good,” said Bears head coach Dana Ford of Mosley. “He was locked in. At this stage you’re players have got to play.”

Loyola has big dreams for this postseason. Rambler seniors Cameron Krutwig and Lucas Williamson were serious freshmen contributors during their 2018 run to the Final Four, and now want to create their own memories in their potential final season.
The No. 21 Ramblers (21-4, 16-2) are the regular-season champions and the top seed for this year’s edition of Arch Madness. While the Missouri Valley has enjoyed having two ranked teams (Drake is the other) and three teams in the NET’s top 100, the league members will arrive in St. Louis a little banged up.
The Bracket & how to watch the games
Missouri State men’s basketball standouts Isiaih Mosley and Gaige Prim were named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference first team, the league announced Tuesday.
The announcement marks the first time since the Bears joined the league for the 1990-91 season that Missouri State has boasted two first-team All-Valley selections.
Mosley (So., Columbia, Mo.) became the first MSU player to lead the MVC in scoring after he posted 20.0 points per game this season. He also leads the conference in minutes played (33.7), and ranks second in free throw percentage (.847), seventh in assists (3.3) and 10th in rebounds (6.1). A three-time MVC Player of the Week this season, Mosley scored in double figures 19 times this season, including 13 games of 20 points or more and 12 times leading the Bears in scoring.
