Harrisburg street to close for weekend ‘Ice in the Burg’ festival

The annual Harrisburg Ice & Fire Festival returns this weekend, meaning that some drivers will need to take alternate routes when traveling through the city.
All traffic will be closed along Second Street between Locust Street to Pine Street from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 due to the event.

HARRISBURG, Pa. A historic building in Harrisburg had recent vandalism.
The Civic Club of Harrisburg worked to pick up the pieces after vandalism at the property in December.
The club s president says someone stole their air conditioner and caused extensive damage.
The club is now replacing the unit, repairing damage, and applying for security grants to improve the site.
The club s effort to improve the historic landmark is in part to beautify the city.

The Civic Club of Harrisburg is in the process of replacing the air conditoning unit, repairing the damage and applying for security grants to add more outdoor lighting to the site.

The Civic Club of Harrisburg (TCCH) is trying to recover from vandalism that took place at its historic riverfront property, at 612 N. Front St., in late December.
The historic home had already been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as many weddings, soirees, and special events were canceled at the venue. Then, on the evening of Dec. 29, someone stole an air conditioner and caused extensive damage at the building.
