HAMMOND â School City of Hammond teachers presented findings of a student-led project about how to come together as one at the new Hammond Central High School.
At a Wednesday school board meeting, Nathan Foor, instructional coach at George Rogers Clark Middle/High School, and Kimberly Montero, an English teacher at Hammond High School, led the presentation.
The Hammond Central Wolves Project had students answer three main questions: âWho am I?â, âWho are we?,â and âWho are the wolves?â
Students also explored more specific questions such as, What should a successful school provide for students? In the project presentation, one student said, Comfort, students should feel like they belong.

SPOKANE, Wash. – With people as young as 12 being vaccinated, some clinics are keeping busy vaccinating as many people as they can.
Spokane Public Schools held a vaccination clinic for students and the rest of the community at North Central High for a few hours Friday.
Health Services Director Becky Doughty said they had more than 400 students sign up to get the Pfizer vaccine.
Meredith Hartley’s kids were two of hundreds that came and got vaccinated.
“It was like coming up for air. It was like day break. I could feel my chest just go,” she said taking a deep breath. “We’re one step closer to not having to be as scared anymore.”

Great Graduates 2021: Olivia Soria
SAN ANTONIO – The end of Olivia Soria’s senior year will be a new start for her entire family. The Clark High School senior will be the first to not only graduate from high school, but the first to go on to college.
“I think that i’m going to be excited and, at the same time, I feel like i’m going to end up starting to cry as soon as I walk off the stage with my diploma,” Soria said.
Soria said the last four years presented her with many challenges. However, she pushed herself to conquer them.
