Colorado police chief arrested on assault, domestic violence charges

FORT MORGAN, Colo. â The chief of police for the town of Log Lane Village in Morgan County was arrested on assault and domestic violence charges, according to Fort Morgan police.
Joshua Katz, 33, was arrested without incident Saturday evening by officers following an incident that occurred in Log Lane Village earlier in the day, Fort Morgan police said in a Facebook post.
Katz is facing the following charges: second-degree assault, third-degree assault, false imprisonment, harassment, and domestic violence.
Katz is the chief of police for the Log Lane Village Police Department, a force of only three officers, including Katz. His current status with the department is unknown.

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) â Court records have identified the suspect tied with Sundayâs police incident in Rothschild that ended with a totaled patrol car and damage to private property.
Jonathon Bishop is behind bars on a $25,000 cash bond and facing multiple felony charges including possession of meth, escaping criminal arrest, fleeing an officer, and three counts of taking and driving a vehicle without the consent of the owner. All of those charges also carry repeater modifiers.
According to the Village Police Department, a resident reported someone rummaging through a vehicle. When police arrived, they found the vehicle was empty but did notice a nearby garage door was open.
