RALEIGH, N.C., May 06, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) A Goldsboro non-profit focusing on addressing the lack of affordable housing for a growing middle-income workforce has received a Mission Development Grant of $40,000 from the SECU Foundation. The organization, Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation (DGDC), requested assistance to help build organizational capacity in the areas of strategic planning, fundraising, and human resource needs to achieve their goal. NID Housing Counseling Agency (NID-HCA), a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved national network of housing counselors and community-development consultants with offices in Plainfield and Allentown, Pa. Unity is launching a partnership with the agency to supplement the bank’s Low-Moderate Income Mortgage Program.
