2 very young children leave home in early morning hours, nearly hit by passing drivers

Officers with the Mingo Junction Police Department managed to rescue two "very young" children on Monday morning after they were found running in the road unattended.

Staff writer SALT ON COUNCIL TABLE — On Thursday Wintersville Council members learned they will consider the purchase of road salt for the 2021-22 winter at their next regular meeting. Warren Scott WINTERSVILLE Wintersville Council is expected to consider its road salt purchase for the 2021-22 winter when it meets again at 7 p.m. April 1. On Thursday Village Administrator Walter Ziemba advised council about 120 tons remain of 1,320 tons ordered for this winter. Following the meeting, Mayor Bob Gale said the village usually orders about 1,500 tons but scaled back the order for this year after experiencing overall milder winters in recent years.

Viola and his family honor Mary Jo’s belief that a lifelong love of reading is the foundation of every child’s education, growth and development.
