Noida/Ghaziabad: Session sites in the two cities will target inoculating at least 10,500 people on Thursday when the third phase of Covid-19 vaccinations, which the Centre began on March 1, finally sees a full rollout in UP.
Sixteen private hospitals and 25 government hospitals will look to vaccinate about 4,500 recipients in the 60-plus and 45-59 with comorbidities age groups in Ghaziabad, while 7,000 people can be vaccinated at 15 government hospitals and 26 private hospitals in Gautam Budh Nagar. Ghaziabad will also aim to vaccinate 3,557 healthcare workers, who are scheduled to be administered their second dose of the Covid vaccine on Thursday.
The first two hours – 9am to 11am – will exclusively cater to those who have pre-booked slots online. The rest of the day will be for walk-ins. Session sites will issue tokens to track the queue.
In yet another incident of fraud, a man allegedly duped multiple people by selling his car and later stealing it from his customers.
The accused identified as 23-year-old Prashant Tyagi has now been arrested by Ghaziabad police. Police said the accused sold his WagonR car to give different people on OlX. The vehicle belonged to one of the relatives of the accused.
Police said the accused first used to place advertisement online with a fake number plate. After getting a potential customer, he used to bargain for a price and sell it off but not before placing a GPS tracker in the car, according to a report in Times of India.
