Lego Ideas Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone Set Announced Sonic the Hedgehog, that’s exactly what happened. Viv Grannell’s Lego Ideas Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone set passed all of the tests. It will apparently appear in stores in June 2021 for Sonic’s 30th anniversary. The original page for Grannell’s Lego Ideas Sonic Mania set offered more details. The project was originally posted in February 2019. Over the years, it was adjusted and redesigned. For example, as the artist pointed out, the Green Hill Zone elements were redesigned during the project’s lifespan. Also, both Heavy Magician and Heavy Gunner were added. Grannell’s design even offers an Encore Build option.

Sonic Lego Set: Ideas Sonic Mania project officially revealed

A new Sonic Lego set has been officially revealed, with Sonic the Hedgehog being officially transformed into a blockier version of himself by way of a Lego Ideas project. The block-building company has now confirmed that the set will soon be officially available, following in the footsteps of Nintendo and its Mario set. The Sonic Mania Green Hill Zone set will be officially brought to life by Lego, with the company revealing that it will be collaborating with Sega in order to make it happen. The concept was initially posted by creator Viv, known as toastergrl on the Lego Ideas platform, with it now leading to it being manufactured and sold in the future

Green Hill Zone, complete with LEGO shuttle loops, badniks, and the frickin’ Death Egg Robot from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that I struggled to beat back in the day. Seriously, y’all made kids fight Mecha Sonic AND the Death Egg Robot with ZERO rings?! My 9-year-old self was STRESSED. My adult self, however, is incredibly charmed by Grannell’s concept, and thrilled to see that it got the green light! I’ll have a “proper” pinned tweet summarising everything in a few hours but my brain is coming out of my ears and my twitter notifs have completely exploded, love yalls gang – this would have been impossible without you ❤
