Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce hosts Business After Hours event

WXXV News 25 July 22, 2021 Tonight, the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce hosted their July Business After Hours at the Merchants and Marine Bank on Bienville Boulevard. The social networking event allows local business owners and staff to connect, support each other, and become familiar with other businesses in the area. This month, the Merchants and Marine Bank was the highlighted business. With the re-branding of the bank and their new logo, they want to remind the public they are the same trusted community bank they have been for over 100 years. The social event included food, drinks, and a raffle of donated items from participating businesses. Merchants and Marine Client Community and PR John Parker said, “Luckily, it’s our turn this month. We’ve got a lot of folks here, a lot of business folks that are vital to the community here in Ocean Springs. We’re actually glad to have everybody. It’s some sense of normalcy and getting back into the routine of things.”

Sales, sales, and sales for the upcoming Sidewalk Sale in Ocean Springs

WXXV News 25 July 15, 2021 (Ocean Springs, MS) – More than 30 local businesses, downtown, uptown, and all-around town will participate in next weekend’s annual July Sidewalk Sale on Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For two days, participating shops and galleries will display racks with summer specials in front of their businesses and inside including specials on clothing, artwork, shoes, jewelry, cookware and more with discounts up from 20% to 70%. Participating restaurants will offer specials during the event. Ocean Springs Breakfast with Mayor Holloway

WXXV News 25 July 14, 2021 The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Main Street Tourism Bureau along with its sponsor Mosaic Restaurant hosted their quarterly breakfast with the mayor. This time, the breakfast was a little different as residents of Ocean Springs welcomed the new mayor, Kenny Holloway. The Breakfast with the Mayor served as an opportunity for local business owners and interested citizens to meet with the new mayor of Ocean Springs in an informal setting to learn about the plans and developments he has for the city. Mayor Holloway discussed infrastructure plans, beautification efforts, and tourism within the City of Ocean Springs. “Well, like I said, we are doing a traffic study for downtown, parking traffic study for downtown. We are going to get the fire going again under Highway 90 and see if we can alleviate some congestion there and then we are going to tap that into 1.6 billion in Jackson and take care of this infrastructure situation we are dealing with.”

WXXV News 25 July 5, 2021 The Blue Moon Art Project contest is back ahead of the Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival. Now is your time to enter for a chance to win $2,000 and more. As a part of the contest, applicants across the state, ages 21 and older, are encouraged to submit a painting showing their interpretation of Blue Moon. This year’s theme is ‘Where do you Blue Moon?’ Each piece that’s entered is judged by a jury committee. The winner’s painting will be chosen as the symbol for Blue Moon’s marketing surrounding the following year’s Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival.
