Muscat: Scattered rain and occasional thunderstorms are expected over Al Hajar Mountains, Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.
The weather forecast stated: Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of cloud formation over Al Hajar Mountains which may result in isolated rain and occasionally thunderstorms towards afternoon. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds along parts of the coastal areas of Arabian Sea and Oman Sea.
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 43 degree Celsius and 29 degrees in Muscat, 44 degrees and 29 degrees in Sohar, 45 degrees and 24 degrees in Haima, 42 degrees and 28 degrees in Nizwa, 43 degrees and 27 degrees in Ibri, and 43 degrees and 26 degrees in Thamrait.

The UAE woke to a sticky start on Tuesday as humidity climbed to 90 per cent in many areas overnight.
Fog formed in parts of Abu Dhabi, including the Al Dhafrah region, in the early hours.
It is expected to burn off by 8am to reveal sunny skies
Temperatures will reach up to 45°C inland and 42°C on the coast. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be calm.
Humidity will rise again overnight, raising the risk of mist and fog on Wednesday.

Dubai: It is a foggy morning in some parts of the UAE, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and drivers have been warned.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), skies across the UAE are looking clear to partly cloudy, especially in Fujairah and Al Ain.
There is a chance of rain as the clouds become convective by the afternoon in these areas.
NCM also issued a yellow alert due to foggy conditions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Temperatures are expected to remain hot and expected to be in the low 30s to low 40s on average.
Dubai is currently at 25 °C with mostly sunny skies.

Muscat: There are chances of isolated rain over Al Hajar Mountains, Oman Meteorology said on Sunday.
A statement issued online by Oman Meteorology said: Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of cloud formation over Al Hajar Mountains which may result in isolated rain towards afternoon with chances of dust rising winds over deserts and open areas of Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah governorates is expected. There may also be the possibility of late night to early morning low level clouds along parts of the coastal areas of Arabian Sea and Oman Sea.
