UAE weather: Chances of scattered rainfall in Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah, overcast skies in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates

UAE residents can expect partly cloudy skies with chances of rainfall in some north-eastern parts of the country. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) the skies will be generally clear to partly cloudy at times with a chance of rainy convective clouds formation over some Eastern and Northern areas especially by afternoon. There is a probability of light rain during the daytime and temperatures are expected to decrease slightly. The maximum temperature in the country is expected to be between 35 and 39°C, and the lowest temperature is expected to be between 22-27°C. In the coastal areas, temperature highs will be between 33-37°C, and 23-29°C in the mountainous regions.

Several areas of country witness rain 01 May 2021 Emadeddin Khalil, Staff Reporter Some regions of the country on Saturday witnessed rains of different intensity, because of the state being affected by a surface atmospheric depression extending from the Red Sea. It had also affected the southern Arabian Peninsula, while accompanied by an air depression in the upper atmosphere coming from the northwest, the National Centre of Meteorology said. Light rain began at 1:30 pm on Khorfakkan in Sharjah, Al Hallah and Badiyah in Fujairah, and on the Masafi-Dibba road, the NCM added. The NCM appealed to individuals to take precautions while driving during rainfall or if visibility was poor due to dusty winds. It also advised the public to stay away from places where there are surface runoffs.

Videos of rain hitting the UAE’s eastern regions such as Fujairah circulated on social media on Monday afternoon. Rain is also expected in Al Ain. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), rainy conditions are expected to last till Friday in eastern and western parts of the UAE, such as Fujairah and Abu Dhabi. Pleasant weather is expected on the weekend, starting Thursday, with a significant drop in temperatures, according to a NCM report.
