CASPER — The Wyoming Legislature will consider a proposal to increase motor vehicle registration and license fees during their 2021 General Session which would generate about $7.23 million in additional revenue for the state each year.
House Bill 24 would hike Wyoming’s various commercial and noncommercial driver’s license fees, learner’s permit fees and renewal fees by $5.

Commercial and noncommercial registration fees, including fees for motorcycles, school buses and trailers would also be increased by $5.
The added funding would be deposited into a new “Transportation Information System Account” and could only be used to replace the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Revenue Information System (RIS)
