Prince georges county police are looking for the person who stabbed a man to death. It happened just after 2 00 this morning in the 4700 block of huron avenue off silver hill road. Detectives believe the victim was targeted. One man we spoke to lost his friend to another deadly stabbing on that same block just one year ago. It is a vicious cycle. A northeast washington man was shot and killed last night. His killer is still on the run. It happened just before 10 30 in the 900 block of third street northeast. At the time of the shooting a 5 yearold boy was sitting here in this kiddie pool. Arthur robertson is the grandfather of that little boy. He watched it all happen. A few doors down, kevin melton was the first out of his house after he heard gunshots. There were four gunshots. A massive christian burial was held this morning in connecticut. The 22yearold former capitol hill intern was stabbed to death on a metro train on the fourth of july. Dc detectives say sutherland was slashed 30 to 40 times while the train was pulling into the metro station. 18yearold jasper spires has been arrested for the murder. Nearly 200 people gathered in hagerstown this weekend to remember a little boy who suffered a cruel fate. Police say 9yearold jack garcia died last week after being beaten for taking a piece of cake without permission. His mothers boyfriend is charged with the death. Many at the vigil for jack had a hard time fathoming his death. I dont feel any child should ever have to suffer the pain that little boy suffered. Reporter garcias mothers boyfriend, robert leroy wilson, is charged with child abuse, among other charges. A male nurse accused of sexually abusing female patients goes on trial today. 37yearold jared klein is charged with fondling women at Bowie Health Center in prince georges county. He faces similar charges in the district. The alleged incidents took place at three different dc area hospitals between may 2013 and august of last year. A Southwest Airlines flight ended up on some grass instead of the runway in richmond this morning. Southwest flight 4636 arrived from orlando. Later on this afternoon, you can see a couple more stray showers, the heaviest rain is coming right now, and it will continue for another hour or so. When she was 6 months old we had a ct scan and it was confirmed she had brain damage. We were told she had Cerebral Palsy and we went with that until this diagnosis when she was four. Did you have any idea that you ask your husband had this problem in your gene pool . No, we had no idea. We have a healthy son, older than jamison and i was pregnant with the third child when we got the diagnosis. No clue, no family history, nothing. Had never heard of it before. That must have been something to find out about your daughter while you are 8 months pregnant with another child. How are your other children . They are both healthy, thank god. Jamison is our only affected child. It is a 25 chance of having an affected child for every pregnancy with two carriers. You decided you were going to fight. How are you fight something.
