There are few we dont have an exact number bought few who are still unaccounted for as you can imagine hearts are heavy here in west chester. But locally people did find a way today to help. Reporter hours after the inferno at Barclay Friends Senior Living Center thursday night, Goodwill Fire Company announce the donation drive on facebook. Sunday from 9 00 to 7 00 the fire companys president figured ten hours should do it. I got here 8 45 this morning. There were people waiting that point. Reporter it didnt take ten hours to collect the clothing, much of it knew. The wheel chairs and walkers too many to count. They could have quit before lunch. Its overwhelming in a good way. Volunteers came out by the dozens. I volunteer at barclay friends normally and think its a wonderful place and so if theres anything i can do to help im here. I have been putting toiletries in all the boxes. Reporter donors out by the hundreds. This was piled high all the way out by 11 00 oclock. By 11 00 oclock this morning. People driving to bring stuff. By 3 00 they reluctantly stopped accepting those in need will pick up tomorrow. The warehouse of extras will go to other charities just as they collected for texas, florida, puerto rico and now here at ho home. I was reminded repeatedly its what west chester does. West chester is a community of people who care for each other, and thats what were doing. Were caring for each other. Neighbors to the rescue fire tour through home in roxborough and they through up a latter and they went to work. Now they rescued two people. A 62yearold woman though did not make it.
