Fog is not bad here along the schuylkill expressway and overnight construction that did block the eastbound lanes has cleared. Westbound work is also gone by south street and again by the blue route so all lanes opened on 76. All lanes opened on 95, the vine and route one the roosevelt boulevard. No issues at this point on the big picture. We had an accident involving a deer in east Goshen Chester county but its cleared out of the way now along Reservoir Road at bramble lane but do watch out for those deer out and about there this morning. Meanwhile in delco, this is the northbound side of 95 traveling past highland avenue. It was a mess last evening but this morning were looking good as you travel up toward the blue route or maybe Philadelphia International airport for an Early Morning flight. But if youre headed toward 95 through the city of wilmington on 495, still have two lanes blocked past edgemoor road, that often goes until 7 oclock. So you might want to stay over on 95. Not 495 early on this tuesday morning, tam. Okay, thank you, matt. Theres been an outpouring of support for a young girl facing a hard time because of a thief. Kirsten Edward Alexander is 10 and she has cerebral palsy. Usually she uses a special walker to get around but her world is extremely limited right now after someone snatched it from right in front of her wilmington, delaware, home. Thats right, that custom walker was left on the front lawn last week by accident. By the time the family realized it was already gone. The heartless person. Like why would you steal a childs walker. Reporter a walker her daughter relies on. 10yearold Kirsten Edwards alexander of wilmington has cerebral palsy. She says without her walker shes only able to move around by wheelchair. It just makes me very disappointed as a child that a grownup would take my walker. Reporter home Surveillance Video from last thursday shows a white pickup truck stopping in front of hadder her home on rodney drive. A man dressed in what appears to be construction gear loaded up the walker and left. A neighbor who wants to remain anonymous captured those moments on her home cameras. It looked like a scrap metal truck like if they were scrap metaling through the neighborhood but it looked really suspicious cause she left and then he pulled up. Reporter now kiersten and her family are hoping the custom walker will be returned. Its very hard to not walk right now because i love walking. Matt. Thank you katherine. Former Philadelphia District attorney Seth Williams has been moved to a federal prison in oklahoma. Williams had been in a federal lockup in philadelphia since his sentencing on october 24th. Federal prison records show he has since been relocated to the federal prison in oklahoma city. Williams pleaded guilty in june to one count of accepting a bribe from a businessman. The judge sentenced him to five years in prison. His release date is set for november of 2021. Authorities say this man broke into a two vehicles at a day care in burlington county, new jersey. It happened as parents, the owners of the vehicles, were inside the Goddard School on route 38 in moorestown. In both cases the thief not away with bags left inside the cars. Moorestown police think the same man may have broken into other vehicles at other day cares in south jersey. Police have charged three teenagers with murder for the beating death of a man in the mayfair section of philadelphia. 14yearold brandon conrad, 17yearold Emanuel Harris and 16yearold malik page are charged as adults and also face robbery chance. Police say the teens killed kevin cullen during a robbery in the 200 block of lorring street on november 25th. All three are students at lincoln high school. Were working to get more information about two men found dead inside a motel in edgemoor, delaware. The two were discovered yesterday inside a room in the Day One Motel along the 5,000 block of governonr printz boulevard. Police have still not released any details about how the men died or if theyre still looking for suspects. 5 36 now. The special election for a u. S. Senate seat in alabama is in one week. Gop candidate roy moore will Campaign Today with former white house steve strategist steve bannon. President trump himself threw his support behind the candidate on monday. The white house has said the president plans to hold a rally on the Florida Panhandle just across the alabama border but no events in alabama are scheduled. Several women accuse moore of sexual misconduct, some when they were just teenaged girls decades ago. The Republican National committee has reversed course saying it will provide Campaign Resources to moore in the final week. New this morning, michigan congressman john conyers who faces claims that he sexually harassed former employees is expected to announce his retirement today. At least six former female members of his staff have accused conyers of Sexual Harassment and other improper behavior over the last two weeks. Conyers has denied the claims but faces growing calls for him to resign and so it seems like he has heed owed those calls. Ian conyers his great grandnephew plans to run for his seat. Ian conyers is a state senator in michigan patagonian announced it plans to sue the white house over president trumps decision to reduce the size of two National Monuments in utah. The Company Modified its home page to just a black screen with the message the president stole your land. The white house released a statement detailing trumps plans to drastically reduce the size of bear ears and the Grand Staircase escalante monuments. Ranchers who support the decision say the monuments took away their grazing rights on wide areas of land. A controversial construction project in the Upper Perkiomen School district has been terminated. Last night a newly elected school board voted five to four to stop the building of the 58 million new middle school. The School District had already spent over 10 million on the project and construction had already started. It had been approved by the prior board despite widespread opposition from residents who worried their school taxes were going to go up to fund this project. But not everyone is against it. We need to invest in education in our chirp, children. I dont think thats unreasonable. We have overcrowding in our elementary schools. Those opposed to building the new school say with interest the school would have cost upwards of 90 million. Meteorologist karen rogers joins us. We watched a little bit of fog in lancaster but i havent seen any other problems with visibility. 49 degrees the current temperature. Its on the mild side. Dewpoints showing the air already really nearly saturated. A lot of moisture coming our way. The winds are out of the eastsoutheast promoting that warm air mass and were going to see lots of cloud cover with that as well. The pressure is falling as low pressure draws near. Satellite and radar showing lots of clouds and i mentioned a little bit of drizzle. Can you kind of see that pulling up from the south right now . Right now its trying to get into southern delaware. Not really all reaching ground but maybe a little shower sneaks input theres the bulk of the rain still out to the west. This is associated with a cold front and thats going to make a big change in our weather. Youll feel the temperatures crashing tomorrow. Today mild, 63 degrees. I think this is really the last mild day were going to see for awhile. Looking ahead that cold air kind of sticks with us. So anything you need to do outside today is a good day to do it. 8 00 a. M. , 52 degrees, lots of clouds, maybe some peeks of sunshine. At 10 00 a. M. , 56. Could see a little bit of drizzle sneaking in in one or two spots. Mostly dry. 60 degrees at lunchtime. How about that . 60 degrees. Normally we would just be in the upper 40s. Lots of clouds. At 3 oclock most of the area still dry and 63. At 6 oclock, 60 degrees so still mild and were tracking that rain moving from west to east and we can kind of show you what future tracker thinks about this. At lunchtime maybe a shower or some drizzle trying to sneak into a few places but that steady rain not really here yet. Then we advance this to 5 oclock and you kind of see that sharp divide, the heavier rain, and we watch that progress through the region and look at those areas of orange and red. We could even hear a little rumble of thunder in one of these spots. This is at 8 30 tonight when we see that steadier stuff moving through the i95 corridor. Then it moves off the coastline. This is a look at 5 30 in the morning. Were dry but i want you to notice these temperatures at 5 30 tomorrow morning. Much of the area still in the 40s. So when were talking about that cold air coming, early tomorrow morning, its still going to feel pretty mild. Its slowly to change during the day tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon, thats when it really feels chilly. Youre going to get the winds gusting, temperatures in the 40s, so feeling breezy and much cooler. Theres one in the roadway reportedly. Northbound side just past the eastwest turnpike, 276, lane is blocked there until they can get that couch cleared out of the way. But at least on the turnpike itself, most of our work zones have cleared. Theres one left, its on the westbound side near Fort Washington which is a busy spot in the morning anyway. Two lanes still blocked there. Hopefully they clear out before too long. Both our work zones both directions along the turnpike in bucks county have cleared but elsewhere in bucks county want to warn you about a closure were getting used to these days in hilltown township. Hilltown pike is closing from 8 00 to 4 00 today and tomorrow for pipe replacement. So rickert road gets you around that during the mid days and in towamencin township theyre tearing up sumneytown pike. Theyll resume their work overnight tonight but do watch out for the bumpy conditions there along sumneytown around the clock. You might want to use welsh or morris instead. East norriton work going on today and each day through next friday 9 00 until 3 00 along dekalb pike route 202. May want to steer clear of that as well, matt. Firefighters from Southern California battling a ferocious wildfire and winds are making it worse. As a precaution more than 7,000 homes have been evacuate the in inned. Strong winds were pushing the blaze in a southwest direction before the cities of santa paula and ventura. One person was reported killed in a track accident on a road closed due to the fire. The Ventura County Fire Department staffed an extra 100 firefighters in anticipation of the strong winds and fire threat. They had triggered a red flag warning in los angeles and ventura counties. No word yet on how these fires started. Police in Savannah Georgia are crediting an officer with saving the life of a newborn baby that was choking. The childs frantic mother called 911 and officer william eng was the first to respond. He raced up three flights of stairs and started doing chest compressions as the infants mother held her in her arms. After about a minute the baby started to breathe on her own. Yesterday officer eng was honored by the department for his lifesaving action and was reunited with that healthy baby girl and her smiling mother. Welcome back. Monmouth county police figured out who vandalized a christmas display. Turns out it was a squirrel. The Sea Girt Police say the four legged vandal chewed through the wires of some holiday lights and Authorities Say they caught the squirrel after they staged a stakeout and while investigating what they thought was going to be a crime they were looking for a human who was up to all of this and instead found a little squirrel. Luckily they were able to make the repairs and the Tree Lighting ceremony still happened last friday.
