Clouds moving in by 9 00 and isolated downpours are possible in northern new jersey and up through the catskills. This is the area under the flash flood watch. By 5 00, that line is moving east towards the city. And westchester county. The jersey shore. Thats when well start to see some heavy downpours over this region and then by 8 00, its moving east through connecticut and parts of long island. Any where you are, there could be a tropical downpour that could result in minor flooding to heavy flash flooding. After we say 1 00 or 2 00 in the afternoon, its starting to clear out. By 7 00 the storm system has moved on. Most flash flood fatalities occur in cars.
