NASA astronaut Nicole Mann became the first spacefaring Native American woman on Tuesday when her SpaceX-powered flight to the International Space Station lifted off from Kennedy Space Center. Mann will spend about five months aboard the space station but is also a candidate, via the Artemis program, to become the first woman to land on the moon.
